Dear valuable
Snow White®
users, |
Stage 1: Review your upgrade kit package. Your upgrade kit package should include the components as shown below: |
Stage 2: Observe the pictures in below and read the description of each step. Note: Skate and frame picture shown below is your right skate. |
| Step 1: Remove all mounting screws and separate boot and frame. |
Step 2: Remove all parts from the frame. Step 3: You will need the wheels, wheel bolts, and toe stop later on so please keep them in a safe place. Step 4: You won't need the parts in red circle (two short tapered screws, one long tapered screw, hex locknut, and the alu alloy toe stop block). Note: The specification of screws of upgrade kit are different from the ones in original style. They both look very similar but can't be used in common. Be sure not to mix them up. Step 5: We suggest you to put them aside immediately right after you've removed them from the frame. They can be recycled. |

Step 6: Take one 10x16mm screw from the upgrade kit bag and set it on top of the outside edge hole as shown in the picture. Get T-shaped hand tool and prepare to screw. Note: Click here if you are not sure about the meaning of 'outside edge hole'! |

Step 7: You will find it difficult to screw. This is because the diameter of the hole is a little bit smaller than the diameter of screw. You need to use full strength to screw it down. The metal screw will go through aluminum hole after 1½ turns. In short, you're re-tapping the threads. Step 8: Remove the screw from the hole after you finish re-tapping. |

Step 9: Take the plastic toe block with "Right" label from the bag. You will find a yellow insert stick squeezed in between the wings. If the insert stick is not in its position, use your fingers to insert it back as shown on the picture. The purpose of this insert stick is to widen the gap between wings so that the screwing of toe stop is smooth and easier.
Step 10: Keep insert stick as where it is and gently screw the toe stop upwards. We suggest you to screw the toe stop all the way up to the end.
Step 11: Remove the insert stick and you're ready to set this toe block to the frame.
Step 12: Insert the toe block firmly into the frame's opening tip. |
Step 13: Insert the 10x33mm screw horizontally to the hole on side frame wall. Step 14: Twist the screw all the way in until the tapered screw head touches the tapered concavity. Do not lock the screw at this moment. The purpose of this action is to set the toe stop block in position so the other hole can be aligned properly. |
Step 15: Set 10x16mm screw on top of the outside edge hole and start to twist. You will need to lock this screw as hard as you can. |
Step 16: Repeat step 1 ~ 15 for the LEFT skate. Note: When you repeat step 6 for the left skate, make sure that you set the screw on top of the outside edge hole. |
Step 17: Mount the frame to the boot (it's right boot at this step) and skate for couple of minutes in order to verify the proper toe stop position.
Step 18: You're one step away from final completion. Use T-shaped hand tool to lock the toe stop in place. When you feel resistance, screw it as hard as you can. The hex concave on the screw head is deep enough so you don't need to worry about tear out on the screw head. Step 19: Check the toe stop and make sure it is tightly locked. Note: You need to do this for both frames, left and right! Step 20: Enjoy your new lighter toe stop blocks! |
