Artistic inliners may have difficulty in finding suitable wheels for their skating, even though there are hundreds of thousands of inline skate wheels in the market! The reason is that artistic inline skating is still not in the mainstream of inline roller skating, i.e. too little of population is involved in this discipline and not supported by the inline wheel manufacturers.  Artistic inliners, having no other options, are forced to choose whatever wheels they find workable from the inline after-services market.  But the fact is, there are no such wheels available at all.

Some use hockey or aggressive skates wheels and the rest use speed skate wheels.  In our opinion, flat hockey or aggressive wheels maybe good for spinning and landing but poor in edging; tapered speed wheels are good for edging but offers a slippery grip while spinning and landing.  We believe both don't work and both compromise in one way or another.

3.  SpeedMax^® has been tested and proven to roll smoothly with speed on the outdoor/cement surfaces.  Particularly it is perfect for outdoor/cement skating as it reduces friction on moves like traveling spins.  This merit gets around the problem that indoor wooden rinks are not readily accessible to all skaters.

4.  Although it has a moderate durometer hardness of 89A, SpeedMax^® still maintains the satisfactory shock-absorbing, gripping, and rebounding capabilities that all artistic inliners would expect.  In short, SpeedMax^® is versatile for all skating surfaces.
